Benefits include the monthly SCUG newsletter which has the minutes of the meeting, interesting articles on subjects of interest to our members and club announcements. The newsletter is emailed to our members and is also available on our club website on our News Updates page. Also, members share information at each meeting, ask questions and give each other
tech support. Every meeting includes a presentation by a guest speaker or one of our members. These presentations cover a wide range of
tech related subjects including software and apps of all types, the internet and the web,
smart phones and computer related hardware. These presentation are geared towards the novice or newbie but computer users at all levels will find them interesting and informative.

Mission:
The Sauk Computer User Group ("SCUG" for short) is a registered, not-for-profit group whose goal is to promote the use and understanding of personal computers through discussion and exchange of ideas and resources. We are here to help you with any problem you may have or can give you the information you need to make the use of your computer or other tech gear, an enjoyable experience. The club can supply you with technical assistance from club members who have experience (and experiences) similar to yours. We meet once a month (usually the second Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m.) at the Whiteside County Senior Center.
We hope this site will prove useful in:
- Recruiting new members to our local, not-for-profit organization
- Continuing our tradition of "Computer users helping computer users"
- Increasing computer and Internet literacy in the local communities of Lee and Whiteside counties in Illinois
